Come and show your support!
Come and show your support!
The Town of Frisco Colorado is excited to announce a new Bike Park going in at the Frisco Peninsula Recreation Area. As many of you have seen, Frisco took a progressive approach to the ever growing Pine Beetle epidemic that is well know in Colorado. In an effort to improve the existing park, Frisco is currently working through potential concepts for the Frisco Peninsula Recreation Area which will include new facilities to create a visually appealing and fun place for people to enjoy many different recreational activities. An integral component of the park development is a new bike park. This bike park is being designed around all levels of riding and all styles of bicycles.
If you are a beginner to advanced rider on a BMX or mountain bike we encourage you to come down to our first meeting on March 3 from 5:00 to 7:00 in the Town Hall and show your support for this new bike recreation facility. The meeting will be an informal setting allowing the public to speak with the designers and see the conceptual site plans for the new park. All we ask is that you bring ideas as to what types of riding you like to do. We are looking for as many people to come and share in this exciting time so that we can start building our riding community and give a real representation of the riders in the area. We know you're out there, so come say “Hi” and get your stoke on for this upcoming riding season.

omg!! that looks so sick
Frisco is already one of the coolest little mountain towns in CO, and with all of the good riders that live there (Keystone's bike park is right up the road) I'm sure they will turn out something awesome... not some crap that gets thrown up in a lot of places where people don't know what they are doing (Red rocks bike park in CO Springs)
man im so stoked for this i cant wait to go the meeting... i think they could have some really really good dh up there
thats sick! plus the construction of Valmont bike park up in boulder which will also be sick. I'm stoked for both of these
well ya there both sick but id say that key is better than anything in colorado so far... but sol vista is pretty damn good but if they have some epic dh up in Frisco it would definitely be worth at least checking out... the drive through there just screams potential... at least for me
it,s right to the west of Breckenridge Colorado. About an hour or two from Denver. This is awesome! I hope more parks open up in Colorado.
haha, hour or five depending on that 1-70 traffic. theres also that valmont bike park being built in boulder, (http://bma-mtb.org/valmontbikepark/) for the peeps on the front range.
I wished we had at least a LITTLE support for cyclists in my city. But good-luck to every-one that lives in or around Frisco Colorado
because you just got a gift from god.
ya. good way to put it. very lucky for them. i dare to dream about stuff like this in my city among its 6 million people...
I just hope they don't make it suck like the park at Lory State Park.... I was so pumped to go out there and about burned the place down when I did.
Looks cool to me, it's just a conceptual design dude, will be different than that, after all considerations are finalized.
ye i no about cwm carn lol iv been going there before it was even proplerly made i just think they should make a freeride park there 2 as the so call free ride at cwm carn is shit, i mean its on the xc track lol

show up to the meeting if you can! props to the people that got this going. sf has been waiting for this.
yes! i love summit county. Frisco, Vail, Breck, Dillon, Silverthorn, and Keystone have some of THE BEST riding and riders I have ever been around. i hope they build a nice park section and not just a network of singletrack and DH trails. summit county could become THE center of the US MTB scene.
at first i was sooo happy coz i thought this was in frisco- san francisco, peninsula- bay area, but then it was in colorado not california. bummer. oh well thats probably why sf is the gayest city ever. not to mention mountain biking was supposedly invented- marin neighbor to sf. all the more reason to visit/ move to palaces like colorado. u guys are blesssed
whoops. sfurbanriders.org
We're still in complex political negotiations, but close to submitting a formal proposal the SF Park and Rec department to develop Maclaren Park.

i am so pissed! i thought this was for san francisco too. it said frisco peninsula and everyone always talks about "yea there will be some meeting thing about the plan for the park some time soon" and i thought it was now.
dirt jumps, pump track and a 4x track with a magic carpet going up to it. it looks like it will be good
